entistssayitcausesaneurologicaldefectcalledmicrocephaly.Thisiswhereababyis
bornwithasmallerheadthannormal,andwithbraindamage.Healthoffi
cialsinBrazilreportedthataround4,000babieswerebornwithmicrocep
halylastyear.Thiscomparestofewerthan150casesin2014.TheColom
biangovernmenthasjustreportedthatmorethan2,100pregnantwom
eninColombiaareinfectedwiththevirus.ThereisnovaccineforZikaandi
twillbedifficulttofindone.Adoctorsaidavaccinewouldhavetobetested
onpregnantwomen,andthatwouldbe"apracticalandethicalnightmare".
